ECO.SOLAR9 is an innovative, water based coating agent for glass surfaces. After treatment the surfaces show a strong hydrophilic (hygroscopic) behaviour. The product provides an “easy-to-clean effect” and is absolutely transparent. ECO.SOLAR9 is highly resistant against weathering and UV-light. Treated surfaces show a nearly non-residual drying of water due to the hydrophilic effect. As a result the surfaces soil much less than untreated or hydrophobic surfaces.

 

ECO.SOLAR9 is especially suited to provide treatments for solar panels. The hydrophilic nature of the treatment encourages less surface soiling. In tests, a 9% increase in solar panel energy output was observed due to the treatment compared with manufacturers treated panels without Solar9 in the same conditions. When rain drops hit the treated surface, the water picks up soil and debris and removes them during run off.
